2.1 INTERNAL ORGANIZATION The following figure represents our basic “chain of command”:

PERSONNEL FUNCTIONS

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

• Develops and implements all quality assurance policies, procedures, and improvements.
• Works with the Plant Manager and Plant Forman in maintaining production quality.
• Supervises and instructs all personnel in the application and maintenance of quality assurance procedures.
• Reports on the status and quality of production and notifies all managers of production of any detected problems.
• Responsible for complete and detailed inspection and measuring of components.
• Maintains records of inspection and furnishes any required reports to customers.
• Functions as a liaison between all departments to assist in the better understanding of policies and to aid in decisions regarding any quality assurance questions.
• Will stop any production or shipment if it is believed to be unacceptable for any reason. This decision may only be overturned at the customers direction.
• Also responsible for management and recording of inventory.

PLANT MANAGER

• Functions as a head supervisor making any necessary judgement calls or production decisions.
• Keeps track of production and machine operations and reports this action, and any remedy, to Quality Assurance.
• Will refuse raw materials or stop any production or shipment if it is not up to quality standards and reports this action, and any remedy, to Quality Assurance.
