GENERAL SANITATION REQUIREMENTS & PEST CONTROL
- Beverage or food consumption, smoking, storage of food, operators bags or personal articles will be restricted to locations not impacting on inspection, production, packing and storage areas.
- All Acme facilities are protected from pests by an outside pest control contractor. The following is a list of standard operating procedures:
- All fumex personnel are state certified and undergo continuous on the job training in the field and in the classroom. Training is conducted in -house in conjuction with scheduled training sessions with Dr. Austin Frishman and also industry sponsored seminars.
- Upon arrival at Acme, fumex personnel will check in with the plant manager , and proceed to inspect our facility. Once the service has been completed, the fumex personnel will document their findings with specific references to what was observed, treatment rendered and reccomendations for pest management within Acme.
- Materials that will be utilized in or around the facility will be registered with both the E.P.A and the New York State D.E.C., and will be used in strict accordance to label directions and applicable laws.
- Routine service will emphasize inspecting, detecting, and eliminating pest focal points within the facility. If insect pests are found during our inspections, appropriate actions will be taken and emphasis placed on:
- Identifying the pest and its source.
- Elimination through sanitation and /or mechanical alteration.
- Exterior treatments where possible.
- If pesticide applications are necessary the material of choice
will be crack and crevice, bait placements and insect bait
stations.
